Confederate Flag Graffiti Strikes Hendersonville Tennessee!
Whether you’re for
or against the Confederate Flag, it’s a hot button issue right now! It’s sad that even in the year 2015 racism
still exists!
This instance of Confederate Flag graffiti was first spotted
Saturday August 1st, likely done the night before. They managed to paint four confederate
flags, and if you notice the writing on the left says “If You Don’t Like The
South Get Out.” This graffiti, and the
Confederate Flag’s meaning, can be interpreted in many ways. Some argue it symbolizes racism while others
claim it’s a display of their heritage.
The part that bothers me the most is the, “If You Don’t Like The South
Than Get Out!” That’s basically saying
that, if you don’t agree with me than leave.
That’s NOT what our founders and this country stands for! We have a system where every person has a
right to HIS OR HER opinion. One vote
each, and whatever set of idea’s gets the most votes sets the rules for the
society that we all live in.
