Where do I start? Women can do about any job available. A woman has to be hired if she satisfies the requirements for the job that usual is performed by a man, (i.e.. Fireman, Policeman, etc..). Because if the employer didn't, that would be discrimination. Now this doesn't work the same way for a man! That a man usually doesn't get hired doing a job that women usually do, (i.e. low-level desk work, receptionist, secretary, etc..), unless he's gay. Again, not hiring a gay guy could result in discrimination. So say if a man is qualified and wants to be bookkeeper or receptionist. He wants the job because its an easier job than doing physically hard work. That's fair isn't it? But it's not reality. There is a general conception of what's a man's job and what's a women's job.
A lot of women, a lot of women, get their job because they have a pretty face! Take doctor's offices, dentist offices, and restaurants for example. You see a lot of the people hired because they're pretty. Of course the business owners know that if their establishment has pretty people in it, they'll attract a lot more customers. So a dumb-as-a-rock pretty girl will get a cushy receptionist job over a man who is more qualified to do the job. Again, just because she's pretty! A young pretty girl can go work as a waitress, not doing that much work, and make good money just because of their looks. For a young man to make the same pay, he's gonna work his ass off cutting grass or do something physically hard!
So this is one area where men are at a disadvantage! Men, generally, work a job their whole life. Because, for a man to get laid, he needs a job! Women generally only work if they want to. A lot of women would rather work than to depend on a man or husband for money! Women can get away with more at their jobs! Countless times I've heard women say how they should be paid the same as men but then have the men do the physically hard work. You can't have it both ways! I'm not saying women have it perfect at work. But they generally have it better than men do. One thing women have to deal with that men don't at work is sexual harassment.
Generally parents who have sons and daughters; they make sure their sons go to college and get a good job. They make sure their daughter marries a good man who will take care of her. Even the bible says that work is man's punishment for eating the apple in the Garden of Eden. Women's punishment is pain during childbirth, which they can now escape with an epidural.
If you think we have any equality, try being a stay-at-home dad! They are one of the most discriminated against! I constantly hear how being a stay-at-home mom is the hardest job on the planet! But somehow when a man does it, its not work! Seems like a double standard! Society generally has a predisposition of what a man's role is and what a woman's role is. Says who? The last I checked, we live in a free country to live our lives how ever we choose to. If you react to someone else, they're in charge of you and you're no longer free. Because the Bible says what a men and women's roles are. What if I don't believe your Bible? Then those rules don't apply to me!
So if you're a man, make sure you go to college and get a good job! And if you're a woman, you have a lot more options!
